Topic: Whats your bubs special thing? Posted: 16 November 2010 at 7:46pm |
I loved the good sleepers thread and it got me thinking...every bub has something they really shine at. I love this about them! And its nice to say something positive. So, what are the great things yours does.
As starter for ten...my girl is a total chatterbox and at 15 months is learning about 4 new words a day. Basically she's a great mimic and tries to copy everything! It makes me smile.

Mine is that my little girl is a great mover/squirmer, she commando crawls already and is moving on to pulling up and walking with support. And one other, she is FEARLESS, her Daddy throws her up in the air and makes her do flips and all she does is squeal and giggle. Its really funny!

Eating! Lol - my girl can EAT! And will eat absolutely everything! And gets excited about trying new things! I love it! She eats better than her father!

What a cool positive thread
Mine has two things
Firstly he is WAY ahead of his peers in terms of development. He rolled at 3 months, crawled at almost 6 months, stood at 7 months and was cruising the furniture at 8 months
The other thing is he is sooooooooo smiley!

Cuddles. DD is the best at giving everyone and everything cuddles. Her teddies, other babies, the cats (although she does tend to squash them) and best of all me and DP

love this thread (and so need it today!)
DS1 is so perceptive - quite often if I'm in a grump he'll come up out of the blue and give me a kiss and cuddle.
DS2 is my super smiley baby. It's awesome - his big smiles and happy chatter always brighten up my day.

What a great thread!
DS is such a smiley baby and LOVES attention from anyone, there are times people want to pop over or we go somewhere and I worry he will start screaming if he's been in a grump but no, always a smile and a giggle for everyone!
He is also a real poser, none of my family live in NZ so photos are a must and DS will have a camera on him and he will always look right at the camera and strike a pose and a smile, means we don't get many 'candid' shots haha but it's awesome to have so many great photos! I don't think my family believe he is ever in a bad mood

Fab thread!
Like others, my DS is super smiley and laughs lots which is so awesome! And makes tough days that much easier.
Plus, he's also really photogenic which is great cos I take loads of pics and then spend hours looking at how adorable he is and how much he's grown.
He's also a terrific bouncer and has great leg and overall strength.
We spend sooooo much time worrying about and focusing on the not-so-good things about our babies that it's so nice to really focus on their strengths.

I have another one. DS always says 'bye, see ya'' when someone leaves the room or even when we are out and leave a shop. And the other day he blew a kiss to an elderly lady. He is a little charmer.

What a lovely thread!!!
DD has been sleeping through the night from 8 weeks old (legned!) She is such a chilled out, easy going little Miss and nothing phases her. DD's special thing has been sitting by herself from about 4.5 months old and everyone comments on her lovely straight back and amazing posture

Haha this could have been written about my little fella. I love his smile and he is always in a good mood...even when he was sick he was still full of smiles. Everyone always comments on how every photo I take he is smiling in it...makes it hard to get the photos I want tho as he is always like oh hello camera, how are you haha.

I'm liking my new profile so I might just keep it!
DD's special thing is that she is the smiliest happiest baby. She is very very affectionate, and keeps clambering on me to give me kisses. She will also blow me kisses unprompted if I am across the room and she sees me (she has just turned 1). Very cute.

Amber is the cheekiest little madam I've ever known and she has the look down pat. She gets this glint in her eye and you know she's thinking of something. She also has this look, where she lowers her head and looks up at you from under her loooong eyelashes - you can see her glint and it's just gorgeous!
Jade is such a chatterbox, always on the move, always wanting to find new things and always pops up and says hello. She's also such a poser!!!
I both my girls so much!!

My gorgeous wee girl has a beautiful smile - people just can't help smiling back at her and laughing as she smiles with her mouth wide open. Something is going to fly in there one day!
She also hardly ever cries and wakes up chattering.

What a great idea sharing positives about our babies!
DD is a very social baby who loves being out and about she always has a big smile and giggle for anyone willing to pay her attention which is great! She also loves to play little games with people like when she was younger she would put her head on her shoulder and squeal until you paid her attention (very cute!). Plus she is a fantastic eater - a real foodie which is good not having to worry about that one!
