Hey all
Just thinking about taking my temp every morning and i heard you can take your temp vaginally. Does any one do this??
I am getting wierd temps and i think its because of me breathing through my mouth when i do the temp.
Thanks

Hi Emma,
I havent tried temping Vaginally - nor do I want to !
I do however mouth breath and find my temps consistant and show OV everytime.
I pop the BBT under my tounge and breath through my nose untill it beeps.

LB, i was doing that and when i looked at them when i got up they seemed to be rather low. So i figure if i want to do things right, i will have to make sure my temps are as accurate as they can be!

If you mouth breath your temps are generally low anyway as the room temp can effect it alittle.
If you take your temp at the same time every morning with as little movement as possible and after 3 hrs solid sleep it should be pretty accurate

I notice that I mouth breathe only when I'm stuffed up from allergies or a cold.
On the days I don't, my 3 temps are fairly close together... On the days I do, my first one can be 0.1 celcius less than my second two which are generally close together...
I dont' mind doing the 3 temps as it takes me that long from waking up to getting out of bed anyways.... DH isn't impressed with the constant beeping first thing in the morning though

The instructions that came with my BBT said if you are a mouth breather, then close your mouth for 4 mins before putting the BBT into your mouth. Let's hope you can breath a little thru your nose in this time!
