To all the running Mums and Dads, what is the best buggy to run with? I have a P&T vibe, but its not that easy to run with and looking for something more suitable.
Any suggestions?
TIA!

I've heard MB are good too!

I have a P&T sport haven't taken it for a proper run but it wasn't too bad for the little runs I do every now and then to catch the bus on time!

Yeah I think the MB is better for running (not so fast running I might add!) Anyone want to buy a vibe soon hehe?
Has anyone actually run with their buggy for proper runs? Like 5km + ?

DH runs 5k plus most days ... he said

"Our P&T is lighter however the MB is more maneuverable .. so I usually takes the MB"

Note - we have a double MB as we have two kids .. and it is heavy .. I can hardly push the thing up a hill with two kids in it! A single MB is still heavier than our P&T but it is easier to control with one hand (which is the easiest way to run with a buggy)
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog

I have just started the c25K and have a P&T sport.

I have done 2 runs with the buggy now and the biggest issue for me is getting the right height with the handle. My arms were killing me after the first run (only 1 kid in buggy) but the second one (with both kids) was heaps better cos I mucked around with the height thing. Found it easier with 2 kids to manevaur.

Thanks lilfatty, the MB's in the shops do seem to be easier to steer with one hand I agree. I don't need a double so fingers crossed the normal MB's are not that much heavier than the P&T. The P& T is so great, it fits in the car well and is light and easy to fold but not great for steering while running

I have a MB and run between 5 and 10kms most days and have done since DD was a newborn. I find it awesome to run with and fairly easy to manouvre. This was one of my main criteria when orginally looking for a buggy.

I recently replaced all the tyres on it as they had no tread left and went flat ......poor buggy, definately had my monies worth

I use a MB Elite and find it really good although my preference is still leaving the kids at home with DH and going for a run alone.

I run with my MB at least 2-3 times a week and it is by far the easiest buggy I've used to run with. Although I definitley prefer to run without a buggy, mostly because running is my time to think.

Is there a difference between the MB and the MB elite for running? I assume so, as there's a difference on Trademe prices!

I have a baby jogger city classic and went for a few runs before getting pregnant again - it was pretty good, light, manoeuvrable, good on kerbs etc, and front wheel locks for long straight stretches.

I love my MB, although I don't run, but it's super easy to steer etc and quick to fold so when I go on the bus I usually take it with me.

From memory the difference with the Urban/Urban elite was the fabric but the frame was the same.

Heya,

Does anyone have or know of anyone that has a Baby Jogger City Elite??? I am keen to exercise, walk and possibly run on the odd occasion. I am trying to make final decision between MB Urgan and the City Elite...your opinions/feedback would be most appreciated
