Hi,
I've just started acupuncture (first time last week) and have decided to go with someone who specialises in fertility acupuncture. Maybe you could look into someone like that in your area?
Website is fact.net.nz and maybe ask them if they know someone up there...???

Hiya, there have been a number of women who have had success with acupuncture for TTC. If you do a full forum search for it you should be able to read up on a number of success stories Who has told you it is just a matter of waiting? Two years is more than enough time to be trying before seeing a fertility specialist!

Hi molz,
I've been having acupuncture for the past 3months and I've found it very helpful. My cycle has always been very irregular and I've had long spells of amenorrhea - but between the acupuncture and seeing a naturopath, my cycle seems to be becoming more and more regular. Its also excellent for stress which we all know has a big impact on ttc.
There are heaps of success stories from others who have taken this path - so i have faith I will get there eventually!
Sorry I can't help you find someone where you are - but for anyone in Wellington - Janine at City Acupuncture is excellent. She's so lovely and has a lot of experience in fertility treatment.
Good luck and lots of baby dust

I didn't use accupuncture for TTC but a friend did, she had been TTC for 8mths and after starting accupuncture she got a BFP the following month.
I did use accupuncture while pg, the accupuncturist is also a mw. I think she is still working out of Pt Chev. PM me if you want her detals

I was using accupunture and also vitex - not sure which one was the helper but found accupunture to be really relaxing and felt like I was "doing" something to help things alone. It didnt shorten my cycle like I wanted to as I still conceived on at 45day cycle but got pregnant on my 2nd cycle. I was seeing someone who specialised in fertility and she was awesome!
Edited to add - however I was only trying for 4 months (after a MC) so not really that long.

Hi All,
Just an update....
My first appt was almost a week ago (next one tomorrow)....
One thing I have noticed....
I have been charting and my temps fluctuate, but not a huge amount.... but since my first appt they have stabalized.... to within 0.1 of a degree!!!
I first thought my themometer was broken, but check my temp in the evening and it quite higher than morning temp - even take three temps in a row in the morning to double check and they all come to around 0.03 of each other!!!!
So something is obviously happening..... can't wait till tomorrows session!!!!!!

Second session - was great, just provided my chart and the concentration was on 'wakening my ovaries'.
Lol.
Apparently the acupuncturist is concentrating on bringing my ov date to around 14 days (was 23 last cycle). Then focus on increasing Luteal length (was 10 days last cycle).
So I'm 11 days now.... so will wait and see what happens this week.... lots of BDing for Hubby!!!!!
