I know this is a sensitive topic for many people but Im after a poster that gives instructions on how to do resuscitation on a baby eg with 2 fingers rather than with a single hand as with older children. I have tried Plunket, Redcross and St Johns and none of them have this info in a poster form. I just want something I can stick on the wall so if the worst should possibly happen the info is right there. Can anyone help?

At the moment that is what I think I will have to do. I have found this on line - http://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/59277-baby-resuscitation.html
- which is what I was after but there are no pictures and I will have to make it myself, I just assumed there would be a on the shelf version, LOL. Thanks

you could try your local hospital - either the maternity ward or even NICU. Ill see if I can find the information I received before I left the nicu with aidan. give me a couple of days and Ill get back to you!

No... I think your going to do whatever you need to in order to help them.. !!

one finger..two. just ring 111 and they will assist you if you need it

You can get one free from here
link

I don't know if it is the technique you are after though....might pay to email them and ask

And I think it is a good idea to have around. I know after I did a baby cpr and choking course I felt a lot more confident should something happen.

Sometimes in the paper they have infant CPR classes, St Johns often run courses.

We learned at Antenatal classes but I honestly don't remember however I did get a flier and I plan to read it every week!

If it was attached to my fridge I would.

And no I wouldn't leave the baby I would bring the baby with me

It would give me something to do between ringing 111 and waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

If it's there right in fron of your face and something you see regularly you are more likely to know what to do if something does actually happen.

Thanks for the link too, I've just ordered a poster. Great idea!

Awesome, thank you for your comments and especially the link. I have sent it to others in our coffee group too. I know bun_in _the_ oven is right that the 111 operator will help but when in a panic if you are familiar with the info and it is readily available every little bit can help I figure. Cheers
