I am wanting to get a money manager type application like microsoft money but wondered if anyone has any recommendations they could give me for one...would be good to be able to download an app and am happy to pay for it....

Any suggestions?

Just personal use at this stage....trying to save hard hard hard lol and want to keep track of where we spend the money so we can cut back if we can.

If you are with ASB they have their own program that does this, other banks might as well?

I think kiwibank has a programme like that.

or you could try Xero Personal, it has a monthly fee but looks really cool.

I use Excel to do our budget and track our spending. I can send you my template if you like. I export the data out of online banking, copy it into my template and then code it to the different expense/revenue areas.
