Topic: Baby bug Posted: 02 July 2010 at 7:18pm |
Don't laugh.
I'm wondering if anyone else on here believes in the baby bug?
When we were TTC #1, I was spending a lot of time with a woman at work who was UTD. When ever I went to that pod, (& she wasn't there) I'd sit in her chair. Trying to catch the baby bug. At that time, there seemed to be preg woman everywhere I went. I reckon your body picks up there are lots of UTD woman around and goes 'ooo, must be a good season for it, maybe I'll have one too'
Now we're TTC#2 and there are no preg woman around. I've got no one to catch the bug off (lol )

Interesting, when I got pregnant, it seemed every couple of months someone else would be announcing that they were too!

I was joking at work the other day that there must be something in the water cause we have confirmed pregnancies for 4 patients in the last 6 weeks, plus we have a bunch of new borns and about 2 or 3 ladies ready to pop! I think I need to drink more water while I'm at work!!!!!

At my old work we had a particular chair and it seemed whoever sat in it for a long period of time got UTD, there were 4 such cases and I was one of them.

Ooh I need some of that water MJD! And a bit of time in that chair HeidiesMum. One of my coworkers has just announced that she's pregnant, so hopefully there's a trend starting there. Mind you, everyone's more into animal babies than human babies at my work, so I'm not expecting too many pregnancies.

The second time I got PG it was after 2 weeks on hoilday staying with a friend who was 6mnths PG.... and I had been trying for 9mnths...
BUT the other reason could have been becuase I was on holiday so distracted from counting down the days TTC and I was relaxing.

We had about 10 people have babies at work (within our department that was, there was more in others!) within maybe 18 months? It was phenomenal! 3 of them left within a week, I hated having to tell my boss I was PG cos I was almost at the end of the list.

Since I found out I was pregnant, I have had 2 cousins get pregnant and DH's uncle's wife is pregnant. Im due in Dec and they are due Feb and March.
I think it definitely triggers people to think about it and starts a chain reaction! lol people just catch the bug.
One of my cousins decided to start TTC (she gets pregnant just like that lol) and she was sitting in my lounge chair and she said I hope this helps me to get pregnant, next month she was lol so maybe there's something in it

Yes first time around it was made a joke cause of a chair.
I applied for a job & while one boss wanted me another wanted another lady so in the end she got the job, she also got pregnant & had to leave within about 3 months cause she was having a really bad time plus she was indian & her husband didn't want her to work. Within 3 months of replacing her I was pregnant.
