Topic: Evap line on Discover? Posted: 03 July 2010 at 10:29am |
Hoping someone can help, I am 10dpo today and did a Discover test this morning. I was looking at it in the bedroom with the lights on and thought possibly there was a 2nd line but then thought more likely my imagination! But about 15 minutes after I took the test, I went into the lounge and in natural llight there is a very very faint 2nd line, its pink. Does anyone know if Discover's give evaporation lines? I think I will grab some more tests today and retest in a couple of days, but and advice would be great an hour later it is still there the same darkness as it was when I first saw it

A pink second line on a test isn't a evap line
A evap line is gray in color I would say it a bfp
But we will see what others think
By the way your chart looks good

yeah , doesn't sound like an evap line to me ....
evap lines are usually clear or silvery grey , and come up a few HOURS later ..
If you saw a faint line before 15 mins, then its probably that your HCG is low (cos its early ) and its taken longer to come up ,...that happened with my test , could barely see the line , then by 15 mins it was a nice bold line .
And the fact that its still there , also is a pretty good sign its a BFP .
....So im going to say congrats, cos Im sure its a BFP

Thanks heaps for your advice so far ladies we took 2 years to get pregnant with our first bub which we lost at 9.5 weeks back in March, so I really didnt think my body would play ball again so quickly. I guess the only way to know for sure is wait a couple of days and retest?

Cant see anything on the inverted one, but I can def see it on the orig! Not the whole line though, just the bit in the shadowed part along the top. Try again in about a day or 2 first thing in the morning and you should get a more definite line!

Wohoo Bella! It's super faint... but definately can see it Fx'd you're like me and your body has kicked into gear already following your MC and this is just an early faint line that is going to get darker in the next day!! 10DPO is pretty early, so pretty postiive sign I'd say

Thanks so much ladies for all of your support and advice I went out this afternoon and bought 2 more Discover tests so will retest again in the morning and see what happens really hoping like anything its not a cruel joke and a dud test! I have taken more Discover tests in 2 1/2 years than I care to think about and have never had an evaporation line. Thanks again for all of your support, I will let you know how I get on tomorrow
Fx'd I can join the CPP due thread soon KH, Appy and Buttons
