The last couple of nights Cooper started doing this weird thing where he shakes his head back and forth really fast like saying no - but quite fast and then kind of rubbing his ear to his shoulder. He seems fine and happy apart from that - anyone else had something like that? Would he have sore or itchy ears?

Probably nothing at all and just random but thought I'd post just in case anyone know what he's doing.

It's in the evenings, so could just be tiredness I guess.

Amber does that when she is getting teeth - it's our number one indicator that something else is going to pop through in the next couple of days. Jade doesn't, though!!

Apparently it can also be a sign of an ear infection though?

DS has a few different tired behaviours, one's a real flappy tired. We joke that if he flaps just a little more he'll take off.
When he's in that flappy tired space there is lots of head from side-to-side. He also has a thing where he'll just stop and tilt his head, no rubbing the ear though.

DS does this a lot! He doesn't pull his ears though, but shakes his head like he's saying 'no'  - often as a reaction to music (like he's getting his little groove on), sometimes about food, and sometimes just for the sake of it. I think he does it a lot because we mimic him, and he finds it funny.

No idea about babies, but in animals that means ear infection!

DS (10 months) shakes his head "no" whenever he is tired. And just lately he's started doing it to get a laugh from us too.

Hmmm so it could really be tiredness, ear infection or teething. He did it a couple of times around when he was due for a nap though so maybe just tiredness. Though he was quite grizzly this morning so was thinking it was something else till he had a massive nap and has been fine since.

I'll keep watching tomorrow and if it's around naps I guess it's just tiredness, if not, I'll go up to the doctor.

Thanks girls!
