sorry no - even less so than when your pregnant - Nurofen is not ok as it is aspirin based.
Panadiene is ok , providing it is taken straight after a feed - if your feeding 3 hourly - and dont take it all the time - unless you are not ok with taking codiene

Do you have a cold too? the only thing you could use for that is drixine nasal spray without a script, although a doc could prescribe you more than that .

I definitely took nurofen while BFing, and I figured since I was also giving it directly to Natalie (when she was older than about 3 months), it was fine.

In the limited studies so far available, ibuprofen appears in breast milk in very low concentrations and is unlikely to affect the breast fed infant adversely. However, it is not recommended for nursing mothers unless the expected benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the neonate.

So I disagree and wouldnt take it without medical advice, if you can take something less likely to cause issues wouldnt you.

Panadiene was definately favoured over nurofen when I was in pharmacy for lactating mums - but each to there own - most meds have a certain amount of risk when your breast feeding

Are you able to take Voltaren tablets? Something a bit stronger than panadol? I took a couple of these in the early bf days and mw said it was totally fine, even was allowed to take them when pregnant (but didn't jic).

Just a thought - have you checked the expiry date on your panadol? I have found that if the panadol is getting closer to expiry date, it doesn't work as well as it should.
