Hiya    A family member is involved in Melaleuca and has been telling me about the products for quite a while. I've been interested in trying them, but there's no way we spend as much as we'd need to use/buy to become a preferred customer, and it turns out to become a direct customer (prices are higher than being a PC) you need to come up with admin and joining fees of about $50+ before you even start shopping.

Anyway - is anyone out there with Meleleuca, and might be prepared to let me buy through you - say buy product you won't need one month (obviously there are some products I want to try?). I'd cover any shipping costs obviously.

Worth asking!!

Melaleuca is a range of products - they come under the wellness banner, but the do household cleaning and all sorts of other things such as soap, shampoo & conditioner, as well as things such a vitamin supplements etc. They're eco-sense products as well. It's a pyramid scheme though, which is why it's quite pricey!

Why don't you just go through your family member? If it is something you will buy often then in the long run you would be better off joining but with saying that I am not into pyramid scheme stuff. Is it any better than eco & other products like that?

A lady across the road from us is into it. She gave me a catalogue a while ago but it didnt really interest me. The price is also off putting, I can get a similar item elsewhere for half of what they want.

We did it for a bit but had to give up because I couldn't keep up with the amount of product points you have to spend each month. I even had another couple of friends that would sometimes put in their order through me but in the end became to much of a hassle.
Buying products not as a customer can make them quite expensive but I find a lot of the products good value. I do love the products too, the washing liquid, toothpaste, shampo and conditioner, body wash, household cleaners, even vitamins for the girls...

That's the thing - we don't use anywhere near the amount of product we'd need to use to be a member, and the family member is in it for business purposes (and based in Oz) so that's not really an option    Ah well!

My mum did it for a couple years. Im not sure if she still does because a couple weeks ago she was thinking of canceling. I find the ecostore products work alot better (laundry powder etc) but the malaluca skin soaps are good for extremely sensitive skin (my dad uses it). Depends what you buy to if its worth it. The laundry detergent lasts AGES. Mum brought me two when i moved into my new place and it lasted me over 3 months - i gave the second one back because it didn't work for me. Do you want to to ask her about it when i see her next?

Thanks RicKer, but we're going to back away quietly from this one    We use all Ecostore at the moment and love the products - we were just curious and thought we'd give Melaleuca a burl, but having to fork out admin and joining fees just to try a couple of products? No thanks!

Thanks everyone for your comments - much appreciated
