All right I will start, here are my two lovely boys Toby (17) on the left and Ringo (19) on the right.

Might do a wee bit of riding on them still, but will be very sedate. Am just learning to trim their feet myself so I can dispense with the farrier charging me $60 a pop.

Oh so cute!!!
I don't have a horse (never have because I've always lived in town with not much money )\
But I love them all the same and I LOVE seeing pics of them. I do confess I sometimes go on trademe just to have a look
Kiara is 3 and Teagan is 2, now we're expecting our long awaited 3rd!

I love your appies Appy2!

I have one horse Delta (Seacrest Delta Dawn) , a TB Clyde Cross, who has just turned 5. My pony (Tom, show name Thomas Quick Change lol, ) from when I was little is still around and is around 18 now. He is a bit of a whanau horse (an old faithful that everybody and anybody can ride) at the moment so he is being ridden by my niece at the moment but I will be able to get him back when Jude is ready to start riding

[/IMG]

Here is a pic of Delta, she is a bit bigger now :) This was a couple of years ago.

Ooh, i was just thinking of coming on and setting up something like this!!

Here is my long standing boy, I got him when he just broken, and he is by far the longest I have ever owned a horse for (he's now nearly 15, gulp!!).

He is 3/4 arab, 1/4 Australia stock horse, by Stately Glow, for any of the old school pony breed nuts!!

Ok, other information about your furry friends past, present, most remembered....

What sort of riding did you/do you do?
4 boys!! 7 years, 5 years, 2 years and 8 weeks...

Oooh, well, if you through in your minis and your cute little boy....!!

I did one arab inhand and ridden show at Waikato one year, I got bored out of my brain so went back to flat showing and RTR!! It probably didnt help that we didnt win anything (hmm, a gangly 4 y/o with a touch of his winter coat left probably wasnt the brightest move!!) and I was used to shows being a place to make money!!

Do you still live on 'the farm'?

Awwwwwwww pretty ponies! I've always LOVED horses. Both my older sisters did the showing/eventing/pony club stuff but both ended up with pretty major shoulder injuries (both required shoulder reconstruction surgery) so Mum decided it was too dangerous so I never got to do the horsie thing. That was until I got into thoroughbred racing. I was too tall (and therefore too heavy) to be a jockey which I would have loved but did a bit of work at some local stables here instead. Loved it but it was crap money. My sister is married to a jockey so we are a racing mad family! Would love to get back on a horsie one day soon!
Keep the pictures coming! There are some stunners here ladies!

I showjumped predominately and did a bit of pony club etc till I was about 15. Started again when I was pregnant with Hollie on a clydie.

I'm an avid dreamer lol, checking out trademe for both ponies and lifestyle properties and whatnot. We are seriously considering breeding a foal which will result in something like thisish...

(gyspy vanner, Clyde X Cob)

And if the circumstances allowed, right now I'd be deciding between these two on TM:
Perfection! Except check out the colour of....
this mare here. You'll love her Appy!

Donna - that pic is goregues,
my kids have only been around TB's samuel's 1st time on a horse was when he was under 1 on a TB, wasnt by himself of course, i rode through out both my 1st 2 pregnancies, but not the last 2(2 children under 2 doesnt leave much time), i sadly had to say a sad goodbye to my boy last march as he twisted his gut after having a roll. im glad i got to ride him one last time not long before. one day when im not so busy with preschoolers i might get back into riding and all that goes with.

here is a pic of my old boy sola, he wasnt exactly my horse but he was the horse that my mum and i worked with, he was suppose to become our horse when he retired but being the only schooled horse he was the only reliable horse for learners to ride, he was still going well at 24yrs old.

you guys have some lovely horses and some really cute little minis!

Anybody with some funny (or other) stories about their horses or previous horses....??

We brought a little black welsh Stallion years ago...

heres a start...

We'd heard about this very beautiful little black pony that was ridden down the main street of Taumarunui each day... well anyway, we tracked down the man, and sure enough he (was quite tall!) road his 12hh pony to work each day, stopping on the bridge for a smoke!!! He looked pure welsh (apparently the guys reletive had stollen him as a foal then died and they didnt know where to return him too!!), was black with white socks was such a character, very sad to sell him eventually!!
