Topic: am i pregnant? Posted: 24 May 2010 at 3:45pm |
Hello i am a seventeen year old, I Have a twenty year old partner, We have sex regularly.......... We have been together for over a year now, About 3 - 4 months ago i decided to stop taking my pill, About 2 weeks after stopping my pill my period arrived, it lasted longer than usual but i thought that was just because it was getting out of my system, since then i had one regular period, three weeks ago i i bleed for what i thought was my period but it only lasted one day with very little blood....I have been experiencing Extreme tiredness,Bloating( i feel really fat ) A sore back.. and very sore hip on my right side (aching pain), I feel sick constantly.............i have taken many pregnancy test to find a answer, They all come up negative, Except for one i did the other day i did it And checked it a little bit later and it had a slight Second line......... Is there a chance im pregnant And it is showing up negative still?
Please post i need advice
Thanks
somebody posted this on another site could this really what could be happening?
It sounds a lot like pregnancy symptoms to me, and the hip pain could indicate a tubal pregnancy. Tubal pregnancy can lead to serious complications such as your tube bursting and possible peritonitis (infection in the abdominal cavity that can kill you).
Get into the ER or a walk in center ASAP

Hun what tests are you using??
its possible i guess, were you protected in other ways??
The other option is book a doc appointment and just get bloods, theyll tell you for sure as some women NEVER get a pos test but this is really rare....id either buy a First response from the supermarket or a discover from the chemist (as the most sensitive ones) and make sure you DO NOT READ IT after the alloted time as this can be an evap line or a false positive...
other option, go to the doc for bloods....

The only way to be sure is go to the doc and get a blood test done. If that comes back saying your preg they can send you off for a scan to see how far along you are and check for an ectopic pregnancy (in the tube). I had an ectopic and I didn't have pain in the hip, I had intense drop me to the floor pain just off centre from my belly button.

best to go to the doctor & ask for a blood test to ease your mind, and find out for sure.
If you are pregnant & are getting pain like that it could be an Ectopic, best to get checked sooner rather than later

quickcards are notorious for false positives or evap lines if you read it after the 10 mins....i think if its a "real" line youll get it again in another few days and within the 10min timeframe....but if you dont want to wait and still think your preg, go to the docs hun, theres nothing worse than leaving it!
Are you taking any pre-natal vits?? Folic acid?

the most important is folic acid, I had extreme morning sickness so couldnt keep down many pills but folic acid as long as your eating well is all you need....you should try and take it for the three months before conceiving too (just thought id add that if you are actively trying)

I think the most important thing is to go and see the Dr first. They can prescribe folic acid (a heck of a lot cheaper than buying it without a prescription).
Good luck!

i would definitely go and get a blood test to confirm, that way at the same time you can ask the doctor about any worries you might have and ask about Folic acid
