Topic: Confused, no AF, no BFP Posted: 21 May 2010 at 8:56am |
Ok, just after a little advice.
DH and I decided to start trying for another baby this month, not that much 'trying' happened i've been sick for just over two weeks!!!
I've been keeping track of how long cycles are for a couple of months as pre DS they varied from 29-34 days.
So Feb was 28 days and March 29 days, now i'm on day 33 and no sign of AF, I took a test on tuesday and it was negative.
So not sure what to do now really - guess I wait for AF to turn up, am thinking if its not here by monday something is really up?
i'll be annoyed if its just late, was liking the idea of it being fairly regular.

Do you have any idea when you ovulated? Tues might have been too early to test, maybe do another test over the weekend? GL

I'm a very very very regular person cycle wise. 26 days and I can pretty much predict it down to a couple of hours most of the time...
Yet I had a couple of cycles where it was late by a couple of days for no apparent reason and all BFNs.

Tested again this morning, decided I just wanted to know and still BFN, so pretty sure i'm not pregnant but no af, frustrating.
No idea when I ovulated, trying to start charting so I can get a better idea, think realistically I just have really random cycles and the regular ones were a one off.

Were you on the pill? Just a thought as when I went off the pill, my 1st three cycles were all pretty regular, around 30days, then my next cycle was 42 days! Drove me crazy lol, kept taking preg tests (even though were weren't TTC) but all BFNs then finally got AF two weeks after it was meant to be there. Then the next 6 cycles before we started TTC were anywhere from 37-45 days
If you weren't on the pill then I have no idea sorry! Good luck

Still no sign of it - no symptoms nothing, no was not on the pill, haven't been for a few years now.
I have only ever had a late period twice, both times I was pregnant - but I feel certain i'm not pregnant, just my body keeping me guessing.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh still no sign of AF at all.
I have never had a regular cycle, but I have never missed one, well thats not true I have missed a period twice both times I was pregnant.
By not regular I mean it varies but normally falls on a weekend somewhere around 29-34 days.
What would you do wait it out and if so for how much longer?

The cycle I conceived this bean I didnt ovulate to CD58!!!!! So had I not conceived that cycle would have been about 70 days
I ovulated 3 weeks after I was expecting AF.....
Our bodies can be very random sometimes!

I wouldn't wait too much longer to see gp if I was you, there's always a small chance it may be an ectopic & it's best to pick those things up sooner rather than later. It might also just be stress delaying ovulation too. Hope all goes well for you, =)

A friend of mine who is also TCC didn't have a period for 5 months. Her dr said "things will sort themselves out", very helpful - not! She went somewhere else and they tested her estrogen level. Normal to carry a baby was 30 (they told her this) and hers was 2. Said she should have no problems getting pg, but holding on to baby was another thing. She is now on a cream (sorry can't remember what) and this is what she had to go on to get pg with dd.

Well AF finally arrived, longest cycle ever, but nothing weird about it when it did arrive, I have been very unwell this month so maybe that played a part - not sure, just hoping this month is a bit shorter.
