I've heard you no longer have to boil water at 3 months if you're on a town supply, otherwise it's 18 months. I'll probably keep boiling until at least 4, just because even *I* don't like the taste of tap water so why would he

Kahlia, you could always try filling up bottles at the Speights tap too, that's just plain spring water I think. Or come out to Port Chalmers, our tap water tastes great!

I still boil the water and sterilise the teats...just not the bottles. More out of habit than anything else though!! I just fill up a second jug with boiled water and use that through the day.

We still use boiled water and I sterilise the bottles. The sterilisation is really because I figure that if I miss any milk residue on washing the bottles then they are still okay and safe. The boiled water is just that I leave boied water in the jug and it's just as easy to use that.

They recommend 6 months for boiled water now. 18 months if tank or bore water. And 3 months for sterilizing.

We still sterilize bottles/teats, but use tap water. Which sounds pretty silly when I think about it.
We use dummies, and as I think we should sterilize those I just do the bottles/teats at the same time.
Started using tap water about 7 mths.
