Topic: BFP or evap line?! Posted: 06 May 2010 at 8:54am |
EEEEEEEEEEEEKKK!!!
So after 9 months of TTC our 2nd child I think we may have our bfp!
I have been charting for 9 months and last month after yet another bfn I spoke to my fertility advisor and she put me on Vitex (i have a short LP cos Im still bfing my 17month old) and we decided to stop charting, relax and let it happen when it happen.
So I have no idea when I ovulated or if this is even a bfp?? I used FMU and am on CD30 so I'm hopeful
I used a quickcard msd but the second line didn't come up till exactly 5 mins and the back of the packet says that you should read a positive result at 2 minutes so thats what is making me think its a meanie evap line.
Are first response good? Should I re-test with one in the morning?
TIA

As long as it has [ img] at the start and [/ img] at the end it should work without any spaces of course :) Use the URL code in between

hi mum21
you need the IMG code from photobucket, if you open the picture on there you will see it says share this image, copy the IMG code one and just paste it into here.
ive heard that first response are great and hardly ever get evaps. and they can pick up positives a lot earlier than other tests.

I used FR and at 16DPO it did take the full 2 minutes for the 2nd line to come up and the test line was faint. That was all that was needed to confirm being UTD though.
I'm now 13 weeks preggers - I highly recommend FR. I used the dipstick ones.

Its kinda blurry, I'm sure I can see the 2nd line but my laptop doesnt pick up lines very well.
I would use a first response or Discover if your feeling rich and test again. YAY

I can see a faint pink line! Id say its a BFP, try with another brand, I recomment First Response Midstream($10 from Countdown) they are really good!(and more reliable than the first response dip stick ones)

omg omg omg I couldn't wait until the morning and I did another test! I used a First Response dip stick one cos the silly supermarket didn't have the other ones you ladies said but it doesn't matter anyway cos it was another BFP so Im convinced I must be UTD now, especially with AF missing in action and because I didn't use FMU either!
My cheeks hurt from grinning ear to ear.
