Could you make some things that you could freeze and not produce unless lots of people turn up. You could do some things that you could eat later say bacon and egg pies, muffins, slices etc. Then only set out what you need for the rsvp people and if more turn up can get out some of the extras. If no one extra turns up then freeze the extra stuff?

Can you ring people a few days after the rsvp date, or are there too many people?

Yea, I was thinking of ringing as well. It's so rude, though, you shouldn't have to do that (people who don't respond to invitations get to me, it's just not that hard!)

Have a few bags of potato chips and packets of biscuts in the cupboard so you can bulk up what you have. And do plenty of things like fairy bread and sausage rolls which are cheap.

yes sausage rolls can freeze and if have extra bread for fairy bread can freeze that too and what about saveloys too.

i would just go with getting more food than rsvp but make sure is food that won't get wasted, that way you won't feel stressed about non rsvpers! No point getting in a tizz about it even though is annoying!
