Topic: P&T Bebe capsule Posted: 01 May 2010 at 6:56pm |
Anyone know if the Phil and Teds Bebe infant capsule has a height restriction on it? I can't find it on the capsule or internet.
DD is starting to look really uncomfortable and too long in it, but not sure. She's 65cm and around 6.8kg's.
How long did you keep your baby in this capsule?

We just moved Cooper last weekend into his other seat. But more because I thought he was looking too wide. The bummer about the other carseat though is no hood thingy so he's hating the sun in his eyes. Might have to find some baby sunnies.

Can you get your plunket nurse to check what she thinks? Bethany was in a capsule longer than I'd anticipated cuz although I'd had comments from ppl and had wondered myself if it was still safe, the plunket nurse said it was fine and recommended that we keep using it. So she was in her evenflo capsule until she was 10mths old! I'll be interested to know about the P&T bebe capsule cuz that's what we've gone for this time around. I've been told it's quite good for longer babies - at least, better than some of the others around.

I've got a 'longer' baby, and from memory she moved out of her P & T capsule around six months. My back was killing me too, and I found I liked it better when she went to the next seat up (which could be used from birth anyway).

My DD is still in the bebe capsule, shes 6 months old, 63cm and 6.8kg. I think she'll probably stay in it for a wee while longer, she doesn't seem uncomfortable, but shes not a very chubby bub. I agree with you Sarah MM, am sure the next seat up will be alot more convenient, its hard work sometimes lugging the capsule in and out of the car.
Sorry Jax I haven't been able to find any height restrictions either, tried to find the little pamphlet that came with it but no luck. Would be interested to hear if you do find any though.

DS was a big boy so moved out of his capsule early. But before I moved him out of the capsule I did start leaving it in the car and just carring him around - so much lighter

I'm about to go out shopping to buy a new carseat today for my DD. We have the P&T Bebe but it is miles too small for her. She is just under 7kg and 66cm. She's not even 10wks old yet lol. I was told that as long as the harness doesn't have to come up and over their shoulders, it is still safe. The straps either have to be at shoulder height or just below. Isla is too tall now and the straps come out too far down her back now IYKWIM?

Wow you've got a healthy (not so little) girl there nzlisajo!!
Well I still haven't managed to find a height restriction on it, but that's interesting about the shoulder straps going over the shoulders. She's just at that point now, so I think we'll be going shopping soon. I'll miss it though, we have the snap n go wheels and it's so handy just taking her out of the car and putting her in that, our pram is a b^&* to put up and down!
She is getting too heavy in the capsule though, I usually get DH to carry her in and out.

Yea she's not exactly small! Most people think she i 5-6 months old lol, she was 11lb 8oz when she was born..... was kinda hoping we would get a few more months use out of the capsule!
Agree with you about the capsule being to heavy to carry! I gave up on that a while ago. We didn't get the snap n go wheels, we just use our pram instead.
