Topic: A Wee Boy.. Maybe?! Posted: 21 June 2007 at 7:46pm |
My mum did the ring test (wedding ring on a piece of string or stand a hair, that she hangs just above your belly button when you are lying down) this morning and we couldn't believe it, I am still starstuck, it started swawing back and forth, I am not sure how many people believe in this stuff, I am a sure believer, as we did it when Lucy was in my womb and the ring swayed from side to side and out popped lucy, so when I have a scan in a few weeks, all will be revealed!!

Ooo, how exciting! Won't that be so cool if it turns out like that?! I would be keen to try it if it works for you. Has anyone else tried it and it worked for them? Do you have to be a certain length along your pregnancy before you try it? I'm intrigued now!

Hi, nah I don't think so, just as long as you are preggers, I am only 17 weeks, it's pretty freaky when you are watching the ring swaying!! and also very overwelming!

I think you have to be a certain gestation, I guess after 14ish weeks. I tried a couple of times at the 10-12 week mark and the ring went round and round, then sideways, then round and round again With two separate babies. And then I forgot which was which so I didn't try again.

hehe the birth chart was wrong for me when i first did it...
Scan reveled boy
& now i know its a boy -the chart says boy IYKWIM
I think you have to be exact with conception to get it right. I was going by my lmp 1st time round(which i knew exactly & scan has same edd) but conception is 2wksish after lmp?! Its a bugger the 2wks difference goes into different months?! Ah well
Good luck with your scan Lisha

The chinese chart says's I'm having a boy butwe know I'm carrying a girl, so that one didn't work! Tried the ring test a few months ago with no success. Might try it again, just out of interest.

I think you need a wedding ring, then again a ring that you were all the time might work too.
I am pretty sure if it swings to your feet and up to your head = boy and if it swings around and around above your belly button it is a girl, well that is what happened to me.
