Topic: Update Posted: 27 January 2007 at 10:20am |
Where to start, without sounding like a nut bar?
First, AF is due today. I have a 29 day cycle, like clockwork, which established itself after my surgery. Prior to that it was 28 days. The last time my cycle lasted longer than that was the hideous AF I had before finally going to my specialist (June 06).
I took my temp this morning, and it's gone up, not down. Barely, but AF aint coming today, that's for sure. So I tested, the test was negative.
My cervix is so high I can barely reach it and it's so soft, my finger sinks in a bit if that makes sense. No way I could tell whether it's open or closed though - it's too high. It almost feels as though it's melting into the walls of my (I hate this word ...) vagina.
I have a bad bad ache (have had that once before with AF, several months ago), a horrific dose of indigestion last night, sore breasts (though that is the only thing going on with them, and I used to get those anyway), very mild, occasional cramping, though nothiing to write home about (especially for an endo girl!) - and it almost doesn't feel like cramping. All in all, an odd start to AF for me.
It's the cervix thing that has me glued to my seat, so to speak.
So, I guess we wait. The likely outcome, especially taking into account the BFN is my period will arrive tomorrow. The other outcome ....well. It's what we've waited so long for.
And don't worry about me anyone - I'm philisophical. I *know* that this is unlikely for us, and I'll be baffled about the cervix thing when AF arrives, but I'll be ok because honestly, despite the deluded ravings above, I *do* expect it to. I'll just be going off shopping and drowing my sorrows on my visa (Poor DH ...)
Have a lovely long weekend everyone, and thank you so much for your support, love and best wishes!!
I'll update if there is anything to update, including AF!

I hope you get an answer soon Ginger, and not to produce false hope, but remember that some people don't get positive tests till the are a week or 2 late, so something could be happening. As for the cervix thing, I have no idea, but according to my friend google it does sound promising.
I will sit and try to wait paitently for news! And if you are, perhaps there is something to be said for a tummy bug mid cycle!

Thanks everyone!
Luckily I have something to distract me - my rough and tumble boy (Jack the dog!) ripped a nail quite badly at the park the other day (a bit more serious for a dog than for us girls! ) and he spent last night in hospital having it removed under a general ...poor little sausage.
Our other dog is beside herself wondering where he is, so will be very happy when he's home again. Which wll be very soon! Just off now to go and pick him up.
A nice big vet bill isn't quite what I had in mind as far as retail therapy goes though ...

Fingers crossed for ya Ginger, I hope you get some good news soon. Just out of curiousity (you don't have to answer this) how long have you being TTC?

Oh man, I couldnt get into the site this morning and was dying to know if AF had arrived or what was happening. Still sounds pretty promising though Ginger. The cramps i got, well best way to describe them would be it felt like my ovaries (well where i presume they are) were aching and yep lots of us have had BFN on the day AF was due, I didnt get my BFP with Addison until 3 days late.
Good luck, fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you

Hi Linelle - I lost count at the end of my last cycle, but I'm either at the end of my 20th or 21st cycle. Somewhere around there anyway. So, aaaaggggeess!!! This is my 5th cycle post-endo surgery.
Jess - I used the clear blue compact test. And yeah, if things continue as they are - I might go to the doctor on Tuesday and get bloods done.
