Hi all,
I'm new to the forum.
I deleted my facebook a few months ago (best decision ever) but also lost contact with baby/mums groups etc on there. I suddenly remembered forums and Oh! Baby looks like a good one!
So I am here, at the end of my tether.
My daughter was SUCH and amazing newborn. She slept 9 hours a night, fed well from day one, I had a textbook pregnancy and a textbook birth and a textbook newborn.
Then we had a 5mo sleep regression. Where she ended up with a couple days of napping every hour for 20 minutes.
She is two weeks away from 9mo.
I thought I had sorted it out. She was napping 3x a day;
awake at 6am down at 7:30 for 30 mins down at 9:30 for 90 mins down at 2:30 for 90 mins bed at 7:30
I don't know what has happened this week but she suddenly started refusing naps. =(
This has completely thrown off her nap schedule.
Today she has had maybe an hour total of sleep. (after waking at 6am) she took 20 mins at 8:30 (after screaming the house down for an hour. nothing I did would console her) She took another 20 mins at about 11:30 because she was so tired.
I managed to get her close to her regular nap time for the afternoon. So she went down at 2:20 and woke up 20 mins later.
I just do not know what is going on.
I'm not sure if I have her schedule right?
She has tooth #2 on the way which I know wont help. She is crawling at high speed, standing and cruising the furniture. She has a meltdown if she cannot get to where she wants quick enough.
I used to be able to put her in bed, and close the door - she'd be out cold in under 10 mins. Now its a fight. She scratches me, writhes around and kicks me in the neck/face because she is trying to get out of my arms.
I hate her crying so inconsolably but she does it regardless of being in her cot or being up with me around the house
