if it was the right time for conception then i would say there is every chance it was a m/c but I never experienced any bleeding with mine so couldnt say for sure thats what its like sorry.

Yes that does sound like an early m/c, you would have lost the beginning of things with those major clots. If you have only just m/c'ed you can pregnancy test and will probably still have hormones to give you a positive test (as per my Doc's advice when I m/c'ed).

You should find that your next period will come back in about 4 weeks as usual but for some (like me), the cycle goes off a little... also if you haven't cleaned out completely this time, that will come next time (heavy bleed, clots, cramps)... that's kind of the worst case scenario but just to give you the heads up.

How are you feeling? I'm not sure when all this has happened for you but I got the "baby blues" when all my hormones went off so just watch that too.

LOL I know the feeling! My m/c was when #2 was 6mos old but after we realised it was m/c we got talking about things and became very clucky... so were very pleased when we got preg this time around (2 1/2 mos later).

PS My2Angels.... if you don't bleed I think it's called silent m/c instead of early m/c...

PS Ellen I should have said that I bled 2 weeks with m/c and following period. Hope yours settles quickly though.
