Topic: How early can you ovulate?? Posted: 23 August 2011 at 7:25am |
Hi, my question is, how early can you ovulate? The earliest that I've noticed that I ovulate before is about day 11/12. But this month, FF has given me lines at 9dpo, and I think that my signs show more like 7dpo. Is this possible? Heres a link to my chart if you want to see what you think! (36.7 used to always be a post ov temp for me, and 37.0 undoubtedly so - the 36.6 was taken at least half an hour earlier than normal, so I don't know how accurate this temp is). But is this possible??

I dont chart, but I am pretty sure I ovulate earlier than I'm technically meant to. We dont remember conceiving DS but it would have had to be in the few days post AF, so I'm sure its possible!

I have OV'd on CD10 this cycle. I usually OV CD14-18, and have only once before OV'd as early as CD12, so yes it's possible.
I agree that it looks more like you OV'd on CD7 with the EWCM and temp rise afterwards. Perhaps if you discard the lower temp after CD7 and see if FF moves your crosshairs back.

Thanks for your replies!
I tried shifting everything around, but the most FF would move ov day back to was CD8. Nothing I did made it give me CD7, so perhaps it thinks its not possible. Oh well, time will tell.

Well, I know there is technically no *safe* time in your cycle to have sex - yes it's less likely at some times than others to conceive, but there are people who get UTD from having unprotected sex very early in their cycle so it must be possible to ovulate very early in some cases.

Well, the answer is, you can ovulate as early as 7dpo. Or at least, I did this month (based on my lp). You learn something new every day!
