Just starting to do prelim investigations into cots. We are after a convertable on into a toddler bed/day bed.
Found the cot store website and prices seem really reasonable. Does any one have one? How do you find it?
How is the one hand release?
We've got 2 of the white Millie cots for our girls.
They are a lovely style, the one hand release is great -a little stiff to begin with.
We still have them at bassinet level so can't comment on using them as toddler beds.
Sarah from the Cot Store is lovely too.
My only negative comment is that the quality of the finish isn't that great. But you get what you pay for I guess and a comparable cot style from another company is a lot pricier.
We also have a cot from the cot store, haven't used it as a toddler bed yet either. And I agree with Danda08 with regard to the finish. We got the change table as well in the wood finish, and the vanish appears to have "rubbed" off in places. Otherwise both cot & change table have done the job well enough.
That's interesting about your change table 1stTime. We've got the white change table and the paint has flaked off along the top rail edge.
I spoke with Sarah from The Cot Store about it and she would have had it repainted for me but I didn't want to be without it for several weeks when the girls were little and now I can't be bothered.
