QuoteReplyTopic: Help - Reaction to liners? Posted: 08 October 2010 at 1:50pm
Has anyone else babies had a reaction to Babyfirst brand nappy liners from Baby Factory? I have been using them for 2 days, and DD has developed very red, dry looking skin around her bottom - I'm pretty sure its not 'normal' nappy rash as it came on so quickly, I think it looks more like a reaction.
The only thing that has changed is the brand of liners I use (normally Popli or Real Nappies) so wondering it this could have caused it? They say they are biodegradable, so I would have thought that they would be ok. Also, could I have been using them incorrectly? They are 'one-way' liners, and Im not sure which way goes up, so kind of winged it.
Thanks in advance for you help & advice - in the meantime, more nappy-off time :-)
I've never tried that brand, but sounds to me like they don't agree with your wee one's bum. Try giving them a break for awhile, then see if it comes back when you try them again, maybe.
I had the same thing happen but I can't remember the brand sorry. I took a break then tried again and it was fine. Maybe a combination of food and new liners at the time?
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a post on here about liners and the Babyfirst ones not getting great reviews.
i've been using the bambino mio ones - they are brilliant.
It doesn't matter which way you put them. The one way means it will always tend to wick away from the source of the liquid (bums) to the absorbency (nappy).
