Topic: Ovulation pains - where? Posted: 20 August 2010 at 9:40am |
Where do you get ovulation pains?
Im still trying to figure it all out - I didnt know anything about ovulation until I joint this site haha.
But Im just wondering where you get the pain, I am pretty sure I know what the pain is now - but I have only ever experienced it on my right hand side - is that normal?

I only have it on my right hand side, i haven't heard that its not normal. Sometimes i don't feel any pain at all. I don't think theres anything to worry about but maybe one of the more experienced ladies can help you a out a bit more!

I just had this yesterday for the first time ever (that I've noticed anyway). It wasn't on any particular side, just my whole uterus felt bloated and tender all morning. Cleared up after lunch and took my temp this morning and it was in my usual post-ov range so am thinking what I experienced yesterday must have been ovulation pain!

OV pain for me is either right or left side (sometimes both ) and its, if you can imagine.....where my hip bone is but towards the centre and down a bit or another example is if you imagine a line from your hip to your "fanny bone" (as I call it) its in the middle of that line.........Its a dull ache not sore at all, hard to explain sorry.
LOL

I get it on both right & left, but normally just on the right side. A couple of months ago i had it on the left side i& it was so painful.
LadyBee explained it perfectly where the pain is located lol.
I normally get pain for about 2 hrs quite bad, well more annoying than anything, but on & off for 24-48 hrs.
I never notice before but now that i notice when im ovulating etc i find it hurts a bit so i normally use a wheatpack if i need to lol

Just a note too....OV pain can happen before during and after OV - so its not a realiable symptom. But atleast you know somethings going on down there

I would say that CD7 sounds too early for ov pain Booboo. The only thing that will be happening in your ovaries at the moment will be that tiny follicles are growing. But I'm no expert!
