when do i start to introduce this ??

DS is 5 months old and so far had a few days on rice cereal.... avocado (which he just loves) and homemade puree carrots..

do i just cook the meat and then puree it or add it with a vegie ??

any other helpful advice appreciated. I feel very lost by the whole introducing solids..

also can i puree some tin peaches in juice etc and try that as well ??

Meat is introduced after 6 months.

When I made meat meals for my girl at that age I would get good quality mince, boil it with vege's (I did beef mince with pumpkin, venison mince with carrot), and didn't puree it (after it's been well boiled it's tiny bits anyway and a good way to introduce a little texture). If you're using other cuts of meat you'll want to puree it.

I've been hearing 8-9 months for meat and word of caution from everyone I've talked to is that once they start eating meat their poos get really smell (like normal adult poos).

And I've also heard it's fine to use tinned fruit as long as it's in its own juices and has no added sugar/salt.

6 months for meat. Have you tried other vegies? Pumpkin, kumara, potato, beans, peas, corn etc? We went through all the basic veges before even considering meat.

If you do chicken, make sure you freeze the portions in water or broth so it doesn't harden on the outside (won't defrost properly).
