Topic: Newbies Question Posted: 23 June 2006 at 11:20am |
Hi everyone, am pretty new to this site and have been lovin seeing peoples great news. my DH and I have been TTC since our wedding earlier this year, 2 of my bridesmaids are preggers so I guess I am dragging the chain. My question is can you get the symptoms that AF is about to arrive if you are pregnant - (She is late but still have very sore boobs and had some weird cramps), also I am a Chef and yesterday my sense of smell and taste were all over the place at work.I am hoping this is a good sign. Do you guys think its too early in the peice to test, I am only 2 days late, and I think maybe I am getting my hopes up for nothing

I wouldn't say it's too early to test if you are already late, and yes, some of the pre-pregnancy signs are remarkably like AF - I'm sure some of the other ladies who are pg will agree that sometimes you can't tell the difference and *swear* you're about to get it... Good luck and keep us in the loop !

Hi Hailstones, I was convinced AF was on her way before my BFP. I had AF cramps from CD26ish and the feeling 'down there' that I always get before AF. Then (.)(.)s got HUGE on the evening of CD29 and I tested on CD33 to get my BFP.
2 days late def isn't too early to test, many tests 'can' detect a positive even 10DPO. Good luck!

2 days late seems like a good time to test, to me. I had a faint positive at that stage, and that month, I'd felt very much like AF was on it's way - couldn't have told the difference between the PMS symptoms and early pregnancy to tell you the truth!

Test!!! If you are 2 days late and have those symptoms, then test. It's not too soon.
I wish you all the best of luck, but just remember if you aren't pregnant, we are all here to support you on your journey anyway.
I was sure I was pg this cycle, but it was all in my mind. AF is late, but since I'm spotting she will be here very soon. I really hope you are luckier than me!

well girls, I tested...BFN . I even tested 2 times, because I thought I could see a very faint line the first time but I think I was willing myself to see it, trying to imagine that it was there, so I went to supermarket after work and negetive. DAMN!! So I guess I'll keep waiting, if AF doesn't arrive by Monday I will test again. But don't worry I will keep everyone up to date either way

try to test in the morning, when its really early on that is the best time to test. I got a bfn the day before my period was due but 5 days after it was a faint bfp and that was doing it in the morning. good luck

Hailstones,
Can I tell by your ticker that AF showed up? or is that just ticking along? Hope af has stayed away sending lots of baby dust your way.
