everytime I stretch or flex my toes and sometimes just move ever so slightly - sometimes doing nothing!
my calves (sp) and back of my thighs start like they are going to cramp, they go hard but 90% of the time don't actually hurt
anyone know what I can do for this?
I get really bad cramp in the backs of my thighs most nights once bubs stops moving but when she is moving just get these tightenings
any help apreciated
ohh and I eat enough salt, being a chef I know how much etc to have. just wonderin what else I can do, thanks!
I get the almost cramp feeling too Trish. I started taking magnesium at bedtime to help me sleep better and I don't cramp at all anymore - anywhere! I would get bad cramping coz the babys sitting so low and its stopped since taking the pills even though he hasn't moved.
get magensium and calcium combo as it works better together. i suffered from cramps in first pregnancy and my naturolapath put me on these.
have just started getting cramps again so have started taking them again.
Magensium is also good to prevent early labour, and for headaches and aniexty. It's a good all rounder.
Deep Heat combined with a deep tissue massage, if you know someone who does that? whenever i have cramps any where thats the way i go and it feels fantastic afterwards!
I understand that the cramps can be an imbalance between sodium & potassium or calcium & magnesium - you have to figure out which you need. For me it is magnesium, I need lots when pregnant & can't take any calcium supplement or high calcium food at all.
Maybe look at the supplement your taking (if any). I don't know if it is purely coincidence, but I was on Elevit up until about 3 weeks ago and was getting the worst cramps in my feet and calves, to the point of pulled muscles.
I switched to Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Gold and haven't had a single cramp since.
