Topic: Q about MS - does it come and go? Posted: 12 September 2009 at 8:46am |
Hi there,
Was just wondering if if you have ms that comes and goes?
I've had ms (but no vomiting) for the last 3 weeks, just that sick, sea-sick feeling. It went away for one day 2 weeks ago but came back.
Now it's been pretty much gone for 2 days and as I'm a worrier I can't help wondering if this is a bad sign ... not spotting or pain or anything but wondering if anyone else has a similar experience?

I have good and bad days with the MS- the GP says it is perfectly normal, as your hormone levels are all over the place. At around 10 weeks I thought I was finally getting over it, and now this week it has come back.

Thanks : )
My mw said last week (at my first visit) that ms is worst between weeks 9 and 12. But I just read on this site that ms might have eased off by week 10 ... so much conflicting info out there

I had ms this time from 7 weeks to 14 weeks and for some reason at the beginning of the week like monday-wednesday I would feel ok and think that it was going away and then the rest of the week I felt worse and worse until saturday/sunday where I would vomit a few times and then feel normal again monday!

I did have good days and bad days. There are ladies in our due thread that had it go for days at a time only for it to return.
And seriously, if MS goes away, I wouldn't worry at all, some women don't get it at all (lucky buggers) and others get it to the extent of having to be hospitalised.

My MS stopped at around 16 weeks, as in I didnt throw up every morning. But now and again when something really grosses me out, like the dog leaving me a lovely poo to clean up ill throw up and it feels just the same.

My ms was exactly like that, came and went all the time. But for the sea sickness ms I used sea sickness bands and they worked great. I'm still getting the odd pang of ms that comes and goes even now.

Everyone is different with MS. I had it then it started to ease around 13 weeks... I thought Yes! Then it returned and felt sick until around 17 weeks. Being 6 months now I cant even remember what its like, before you know it, it will be over and you will feel as good as new!

im 14 weeks and still throwing up about 5/7 days a week. my mum had it til she was 22 weeks with me. DP's mum til 25 weeks. my cousin everyday until she gave birth. and i have it all day every day. its almost 11pm at the moment and i dont want to stand up to go to bed coz i feel that gross. bes thing to do is just drink heaps of water and try get as much protein in as possible... without making yourself sick again! lol.everyone is different and as long as you are keeping some food down you should be right. when you start throwing up everything that goes in your mouth, time to see the doc!
and as MrsEmma said, SeaBands worked really well for me 2.
