    Posted: 24 July 2009 at 8:17pm
I'm a bit confused, at our follow on solids plunket appointment the PN said that from 7 months they can have egg scrambled, poached or what ever, but I remember her saying something about not giving egg white until over the age of 1??? (i probably wasn't listening very well lol) so just wondering what one is it? are they allowed the whole egg or just the yolk? TIA

At 6months they are allowed the yolk. The white is not recommended until atleast 12 months (longer if there is a history of allergies in the family) Hope this helps

It changed last year and now all the egg is allowed. The theory is that they will be getting the egg white in baked items anyway.
