QuoteReplyTopic: Thrush - how to wash nappies? Posted: 22 February 2009 at 10:00pm
I think my baby may have nappy thrush, because when I got some cream her nappy rash went away really quickly - but what do I need to do so that the nappies don't keep reinfecting her? Anything special?
I used canesten in the wash while Rowan had thrush - oh and don't do what I did and wash reusable breast pads and bras in with the same load - bad idea = thrush on nipples
I'd suggest the same as Bobbie and either using an inwash treatment or washing your nappies in hot water with a little tea tree oil to clear out any infection. My son had a bacterial infection on his bottom once (started as a teething rash) and I kept him in disposables until it was all cleared up, just to elimiate the risk of reinfecting his lovely cloth nappies again.
