Ok, I have to start taking these as my progesterone level is low.....3 times a day, for 3 months (!!!!!!!!!!!). Can anyone who has had these give me some idea of the errr....effects?? I'm thinking 3 times a day, our ahem...sex life...is going to go out the window because surely they're messy?!?!?!?!?! Also, are there any side effects?? The pamphlet only gives the side effects of taking them orally...and I'm not lucky enough to be taking them orally LOL

I think the IVF girls had to take these which is why I wondered....I'm sure ginger called them messaries!!!!

They are a bit messy Kate I'm afraid, although it wasn't me that dubbed them messaries Apt name though!!

I just found they gave a messy discharge, and I found that sex was sore when I was on them - they made things a bit dry too from memory. But then, I'd just done IVF and had needles and all sorts of equipment up there a few times so it could have just been from that!

I tend to over-react to anything and everything, but I didn't have any problems with them as far as nausea, headaches or any of those sorts of side effects (I don't even know if they ARE known side effects!), so you'll be absolutely fine ... just glad to stop them when they say you can!

Just remember - as bleh as it is, it's helping baby settle in gooood, so worth every messy moment!!

Thanks ginger. They sure aren't pleasant!! My specialist has given me a script for 3 months worth so No matter how messy they are, they will be worth it if bubs stays where it's supposed to.

Good luck with Cuinn
