I've been a wee bit worried about Bethany... she has a rash that is REALLY bad. On Fri it was blotchy and the mw said it was prob just heat rash. I know it's been worse when she's hot (and she is a hot bubs) but it's also been there regardless.
Anyway, being a hot day yesterday, her entire back and head was bright red, bumpy as anything, some with white heads, and it was also all over parts of her tummy, arms and legs. It's turned more blotchy again this morning, but it's all still there.
She is so good about it, but I can tell its bothering her - little clues like she doesn't like getting her nappy changed at the mo (though she's always loved the chance to kick away) and she's been extra snuggly and just wanting to stay with us. Last night I kept her in bed with us all night, partly cuz it helps her regulate her body heat when we're cutting down the layers of clothes she wears. Yesterday I even had her in a short sleeved, short legged summer romper that was way too big for her so that her wee body could get more air flow, and it still made no diff.

We've given her kick time with all her clothes off when she's been able to bear it, we've been bathing or showering her with nothing but water every day, we've tried putting breast milk on it and even a bit of paw paw ointment...
We've googled baby acne and though her case sounds pretty extreme by comparison, it seems like maybe it does line up. My gut says that it's a bad case of baby acne and that because she's a hot wee bubs the heat is affecting the rash and making it a combo of hormonal rash and heat rash which is pretty intense. Honestly, I'd be miserable if it were me!!!
Since the rash started coming up (it started gradually about 10 days ago then we noticed how bumpy her back was on Wednesday night when DH gave her her bath) I've been ultra conscious of everything she does - making sure she's feeding well and keeping alert, and she definitely is. I've taken her temp a few times too and, if anything, it's been at the low end of normal. I just wish there was something I could do to help alleviate it! I plan to take her to my dr tomorrow, even though we see the plunket nurse for the first time tomorrow avo.
Has anyone else had anything like this?? Any ideas or suggestions?
Sorry for the loooong ramble

It just seems so cruel for such a little body to be covered in such a nasty rash - if it were just her face and head or something I would understand, but this seems like overkill!!
