Topic: Names help Posted: 05 April 2006 at 8:42am |
ok so I know we have heaps of post's on this one,but I have a problem I am pretty sure this baby is a boy and I was really wanting to call him Harrison how ever hubby is not so keen and now I am thinking this baby is just not a Harrison (I know one of my children will be just not this one) so I need help boy's name's ladies. I went on to a site and the one I liked has been in the top ten for about ten years so I really don't want to do that"JACOB" So I would really love some suggestion's Oh meaning of names are really important to me.

i'm having troubles with boys names too. we had this prob last time when we found out jack was a boy and that was the only name we could come up with
am thinking charlie or oskar at this stage, but not 100% on those
will be keeping an eye on this post for inspiration!

Ohhh boys names are so hard to pick I think, there are so many lovely girls names though.
We didn't name Samuel for 3 weeks because we just couldn't decide We knew all along that we were having a boy too!!
We did however have trial days - where we would call him a name for a day at a time to see how we liked it. Then one night we were at our daughters parent teacher interviews and we got a bit embarassed having to say several times there that he was 3 weeks and had no name. In desperation my husband finally decided to do a bit of a role play where he said " hey Sam pass dad the hammer" and "hey Ben pass dad the hammer". He then thought Sam was better and immediately got on the phone and told 3 different people the name so we couldn't change our mind!
The names of boys in my coffee group are Tate, Max, Charlie, Will, Bartholomew and Samuel (obviously). Good luck picking.

Well, we have a Jacob (Jake) I liked Jake, but DH didn't, so Jacob is a comprimise... There are a few around, but not so many Jakes here as yet. We also liked Jed. Good luck!!

Nathaniel and I have a thing for strong names, if you can't tell
Kiya ( kii-yah) Mary ~ Chaya means "Life" (hebrew)
Josiah Phillip ~ Josiah means "God heals" or "God supports" (hebrew)
Mikaela Faith ~ Michaela means "Who is like God?" (hebrew)
Xavier ( x-a-vee-er) Max ~ Xavier means "Bright" or "Brilliant" (arabic)
