Topic: New to this... Posted: 16 July 2008 at 8:04pm |
Hey,
Well, I'm new to this so not sure what the abbreviations are or really how to use this in general!
My hubby and I have been trying for a baby for over 3 years now, been to fertility associates recently, they cannot find any major probs. We were suppose to start on clomid next month but because of my hubbys second semen analysis... we have to go back.. and cannot get in till early sep! We've also been told because at this point we have "unexplained" infertility we are not eligible for public funding until 4-5 years of trying. (does this sound right?) Anyway, first time I've been on here, just looking for someone to talk to... feeling really frustrated but more so isolated!
Thanks

 welcome to Oh Baby!
So sorry to hear you've had to wait so long and now even longer for IVF, it just doesn't seem fair!
You might find more people in your situation in the "Coping with infertility" thread at the bottom of the front page. But I'm sure you'll be made to feel welcome on any of the threads

theres a post somewhere with TTC 101 or something with the codes - I'll try and find it for you to learn the abbreviations - its like a foreign language to start with aye!!
Good luck with your TTC (trying to conceive!)

Thank you... I'm so glad to have found this site. Just trying to hang in there really! Don't really have many people to really talk to... without them feeling awkward! (Well, thats what it seems like anyway)

That 4-5 year wait thing sounds so unfair! I always assumed it was just the 12 month wait until recently
