For those of you whose babies/toddlers are already walking....how long did it take your baby from when they did their step/s to when they were full on walking? For the past couple of weeks Ella has been doing random steps unassisted and today she did 7 steps in a row. Just wondering how long I have until my baby is no longer a baby....... just curious really

Oh no, it's all down hill from here!! LOL.
But seriously I think Michaela spent about a month doing 1 or 2 steps at a time, once she started building up to several steps she got her confidence and just took off.
Ella will be running soon
p.s. what a clever girl to be walking so many steps at only (nearly) 10mo

Go Ella!
Maya was a couple of weeks between "first steps" and actually walking full time, the gremlins it was less but then they were much later walking than Maya was (she was full time walking by 10 mths, they were nearly 14).

Sam was about a week from a few steps to full on walking but probably about 2-3 weeks in total from first standing

About 2 days! Charlotte started at 10 months was running within a week- poor thing was covered in bruises those first few months walking.
Well done Ella!

Kryssi did her first 3 steps over Easter and is now walking up to 15? steps at a time, or can walk from the car to inside the house holding one hand (yes, even Hannah's hand!). Give it 2-4 weeks I guess

Jack was about a month. I think it depends how confident they are, if they take a step as soon as they can stand it will take it bit longer than a baby who stands for a while and then steps.

thanks Guys. She has been standing unassisted for just over a month now and loves being on her feet. It is so cute watching her try to walk...she does a couple of steps and then gets impatient and tries to go faster and ends up falling on her hands. As soon as she gets the hang of it, she will be off running and then there will be no stopping her (trying to get her to sit still at the moment is a mission as it is ).
