Just wondering if anyone else has had adverse reaction to inserting EPO capsules I have been doing it for the last 3 nights before bed and within an hour I am woken with wicked braxton hicks for about the next two hours or is that normal?? or just a coincidence?? Also it seems to irritate the tissue down there feels kinda like I have thrush (which I don't) but goes away once I have a shower in the morning. Maybe I should try a different brand?
the braxton hicks after the EPO insertiona re a good thing! It probably means that the oil is doing what it's meant to do.
Not so good about the irritated tissue though. When do you see your midwife next? I did the EPO thing but didn't find it irritating. I doubt changing brands would help though as they probably wouldn't have too different ingredients in them.
You can take EPO orally as well if you are finding the irritation too much. It's not as effective but hey it can all help!
i havent heard of any people getting irritation so i would be weary. id say the BH may be a fluke though as EPO softens the cervix but doesnt normally affect the uterus/muscles etc... it may be due to you lying down or settling for the night. i would leave it a couple of days and see what happens, the last thing you need is the irritation deciding to stick around or affecting the tissue in any way due to the amount of punishment it will be getting soon. lol
I think you should be fine, unless you are getting itchy etc down there. 3 orally, 4 'down there' was what I was told - that and sex non-stop for a couple of days got my boy out lol (as in 2 days before labour, my cervix was not favourable at all, then bam in labour after that and dilating really fast).
I've been told your stomach has more receptors than down there anyway so take them orally. I wouldn't really want down there irritated when you go into labour.
