Topic: Early labour signs???? Posted: 01 September 2008 at 6:03pm |
Im due in 4 days and for the past couple of days i have been getting hot flushes (flu like symptoms), nausea, dull back ache that comes and goes and mild cramping in my abdomen that lasts for most of the day (doesnt peak or anything) - are these signs of early labour? or is it just wishful thinking?

Not early labour, but like...pre labour, you will know when you are in early labour as the contractions will be "fairly" regular and like period cramps to start with.
I had what your having for frikkin weeks before caden decided to arrive So I have learnt, next time I wont get my hopes up lol
My labour started with my waters breaking and my early labour was mild contractions coming every 20 mins or so and lasting like 10 seconds, and they gradually got stronger and more freqent.

Sounds a lot like pre labour to me, and you may only have it for a couple of days before the real labour starts...Good luck !

yep sounds like pre labour. i had it for 3 days before real labour started but its really frustrating. My sister in law had it for 2 weeks, every night she thought it was going to happen and when it didnt she was really disapointed. When it finally did she had hardly any contractions before bubs head came out while she was on the toilet!!!
Just know that it will happen, and the more you relax the easier it will be. GOOD LUCK!

I've had the same symptoms, nausea, back ache diarrhoea and niggly pains at night, i've also had incredible pressure at night plus i've become very pre menstrual like, i've been feeling really weird and not myself at all, not wanting to leave the house, or wanting my partner to leave the house, bubs has dropped as well so hopefully all good signs, i never had all this with my son as i was induced early so i dont know what to make of it really!!!
