Ok - when do they get more regular with solids?

AandCsmum I was told to offer water to drink with solids to avoid constipation.

DD wont drink straight water she screws up her face and spits it out.

jake didnt drink water until he was about 1......

as others have said, i would offer water with every meal and an extra bf after each meal. her body will adjust, but soft poo is more important than frequency....

oh and bf baby doesnt need water, just more bf.... water at this age, like food, is exploratory

Someone in our due thread said if constipated avoid BRAT foods - Bananas, Rice, Apple and Toast. Lots of baby foods have rice so was difficult to avoid! DS loves his water now, but that only kicked in at about 8 months or so. He used to get so constipated he was on lactulose every night for a while.
