get pregnant the first month they tried, or just by not taking pill a couple of days!!! I don't want to seem horrible to those people out there reading this in that situation but I am getting obsessed with TTC that I am on this website several times a day. Which does remind me that there are plenty out there struggling like us. So I will just shut-up now!!! Sorrrrrrry. Just think all you ladies how wonderful it would be to get pregnant by surprise. Oh well maybe next time.

Anyway sorry for rambling. Just taken DH's 'sample' to the lab before our specialist appt on the 9th Jan. So hopefully that will bring us some good news.

Hope Janurary is a good month for you all

That is totally and utterly normal to feel like that. I am one of thoe people that has gotten pregnant very easily but my body is very random with PCOS and endo. I have a friend who is now on to her 5th year of TTC for her first with no luck at all, and I know she would be a great mum.

Good luck for your appointment next week.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I'm sure those feelings are normal, and I'm sure its only how it seems.
I've had a number of friends that have taken a while to get pregnant or had a mc and then conceived.
I guess its a subject that doesn't get talked about much.

It DOES happen! The gremlins were 12 months and 14 cycles of TTC including a m/c and I was starting to think it was never going to happen, had started having fertility testing done.

Then this time round we were a bit lax with contraception based on how long the gremlins took to conceive, and I swear we only had sex ONCE so you can imagine my shock at finding out we are pregnant!

Hang in there, it WILL happen for you one way or another!

dont worry kobec - I sometimes feel the same way (actually a lot of the time). I'm probably more annoyed at myself though, as I was one of those people who got pregnant first time 'trying' (although we weren't looking at ovulation etc - we just didn't use protection), but then I miscarried and here I am, still trying. My GP told me she will get me a referral to a specialist if I'm not pg by February, so hoping that next month is my lucky month!

Aww hun, I know its hard, and its really hard when you have friends who fall pregnant an dont even want kids and then smoke and drink throughout their pregnancies like they dont care!
Its took DF and I about 3 months to conceive the first time and a "friend" had fallen pregnant just before me, then I lost my baby and she continued with her pregnancy while smoking etc and it made me so mad cos Id done everything right!
Then we tried again and after a few cycles fell pregnant with this one. My friends baby was about 8 or 9 weeks early...I sometimes wonder why...drinks and smoking maybe? Her little lungs wernt developed properly and she was in an incubator for weeks.

I totally understand your pain Kobec. It seemed like everyone we knew got pregnant the first month! It took us 5 years, 3 miscarriages and 2 surgerys!

The thing I hated the most was the people that would tell us to hurry up and have kids. We got this alot from my brother and brother in law who both have kids themselves and their wives/girlfriends never had any problems! It's not like we weren't trying!!!

Chin up, I am a firm believer that it will happen when it is supposed to. We now have a gorgeous girl as proof of that

It is funny you say that S, M and I were talking last night about how we are pleased we fell pregnant when we did, as any other time would have been a different egg and sperm and Jack is just perfect!

Yeah thats so true. People keep asking when 'is it time for number 2 yet' and because you don't really want to broadcast every detail of your private life to EVERYONE I just ususally say 'yep maybe someday'. I really feel so much for you mum2sam and all you other ladies out there who have had miscarrages as I can't even imagine how tough that must be!! Oh well I got out in the beautiful sun for the day today and feel heaps better. It's amazing just to be distracted even if it is just for a few hours aye - just enjoying the little darling that I do have.

Hope everyone had a good day.

Kobec I am where you are, people always asking when are you having #2. I have a gorgeous 4yr old girl and I KNOW how blessed I am to have her but it doesn't diminish the feelings of wanting another baby. It feels just like the two yrs it took to get pregnant with her (the wondering and waiting you don't forget even though you have a child) but now it has been over two yrs again trying and still I'm not pregnant so I truly understand how you feel, some days are just hard. Just remember you are not alone.

Thanks honeybun for that. I guess people just don't think before they ask aye??? I tell you what - this experience has taught me to not ask those sorts of questions because you just never know what situation people are in.

Just a question to all - do anyone know if you have a laparoscopy for endometrosis, does it grow back over time. Just wondering if this is the case with us. Will ask the specialist next week but just thought I would see if anyone has had that experience.

The bad news is that yes it can grow back over time. Once you are diagnosed with Endo chances are you will be in for more than 1 surgery.
Good news is that if you can get PG then the symptoms go away for a while

Oh well if it takes more surgery to get pg then 'bring it on' I say. Stink public holiday cause I can't get thru to dr's surgery to get DH's test results back. Will have to wait untill tomorrow. Never mind. Hope everyone has the day off and enjoys it.

Plus up to cd21 with still no ovulation!!! Come on now ovaries get working!!!

Well just got my DH's sperm test results bac and they are not good. Apparently greater than 20 million is normal. My DH's are less than 1 million!!!!!!!                     DH is a painter and mostly sprays the houses and it is soooo bad for him. All the chemicals going thru his system. I knew the results wouldn't be that great but wasn't expecting them to be that bad. So pretty much no chance of any swimmers getting thru. Oh yeah and the motility is below normal as well. I wish DH had got tested when we started TTC as I feel like we have just wasted a whole year. any way enough moaning from me how is everyone else!!
