How many of you ladies out there had Diarrhoa before labour started? and when did the Diarrhoa start?

I am 32 wks and started getting Diarrhoa on Saturday. It just comes on suddenly, the only warning being gurgling or pain in abdomen or the 'needing to go' feeling. It happens mainly during the night and in the mornings. I am fine during the afternoon. And have had no nausea or vomiting.

anyways went to MW on Monday and bubs has dropped down really low/engaged already so had a scan yesterday and my cervix has started to open up a little. May go back for another scan next week.

So just wanted to know what others experiences have been.

I did a couple of days before. Wasn't the most pleasant of prelabour things for me. Fingers crossed your bubba wants to stay put for a while yet.

I had it with Isobelle. Luckily the latent stage of labor took 48 hours and it was all gone by the time she actually came. I didn't have to worry that I would empty my bowel when pushing though!!
I read in my pregnancy book that diarrhoea and constipation is quite common throughout pregnancy.
With my boy he engaged and my cervix started opening 4 weeks before he arrived (which was still 4 weeks early!) so they can hang on it there. Take it easy though and if you feel even minor contractions get in touch with your midwife.
