well it seems i have had my filling fractured AGAIN:( th lreceptionist asked if i;d been eating anything har don that side..but no i haven't I've done everything right and now I have to go back again..but not till next wednesday so that's good at least:(
so anyway my question(esp to the lady who is a dental assistant but I'm sorry i cant remember your nick or I would pm you! I require three shots every time i go.for some reason one or two isn't enough..and she said i could have ten at one time and that would be fine.. but i really really really dont want any more shots(I'm fine with shots just because of the baby) .. two sets was enough..but if i have to will it affect the baby in any way? she said i can't wait till after the baby to get it fixed:(
would you expect it to be free? it was the second time she fixed it up?

Hey , i believe thats me...
Yeah i can see why you would be concerned about ten injections, thats a lot, its the maximum they can give a patient, and i wouldnt really advise having ten shots when pregnant, thats a bit too much, it mightnt do much to affect baby but still not knowing for sure is a bit risky, but two shots should be okay ,especially as some time has past since you last went
Does the dentist wait for long after giving the first injection? sometimes they start too soon and those are often the ones who require more injections.
and no, no matter how the tooth broke (and sometimes they just do) they definitly cannot charge you, so dont let them! and it doesnt matter how many times she fixed it up, it was done only recently
hope that helps a bit!

she said up to ten is the safe limit but she wold never give me more than three..i had three injections nov 10th.....3 on nov 20th...she waits about 5-7 mins and i dont get any numbness so she puts another one in:( and then another as its still not numb in my lip... (thanks for answering by the way)
i just dont want him to have to deal with more injections...:( so even if she thinks it was my fault(which im not saying she does i havent spoken to her) she still cant charge..?last time she gave it to me free and a free clean.. she said its safe to have permanent filling but most people choose not to during pregnancy...

nope, no matter how it happened she cant charge you , they can only charge you if the treatment was more than a year ago
5 minutes is quite a while to wait so you may be one of those unfortunate women who dont numb up quickly, but its been a good couple of weeks so bubs should be fine
and no problem am happy to help :-)

I had a permanent filling put in while pregnant, I don't think I was given any choice it was just a white one tho so it wouldn't hurt the baby.

no, it doesnt hurt baby, we have a few woman who are pregnant come in and have fillings, but we prefer to do smaller ones mainly cos mums already uncomfortable enough being pregnant!
We (and pretty much all dentists) steer clear of xrays around pregnant women tho, so anyone that is early pregnant and going to the dentist make sure you tell your dentist
