Anyone been recently? Lily has to have a cataract removed on the 23rd and will stay overnight. I've had to fight to get her a bed instead of a stupid little cot (she's 2.5 and has been sleeping in a big bed for over a year) and again we've been given a lovely chair to sleep in. I truly HATE this hospital and cant do anything about it.
What I'm wanting to know is, has it improved any? Last time I was there it was dirty, the staff were rude and I had nothing to eat except toast which they provided (stayed there for a week with my son).
It wasnt dirty last time we were in, and Iv always had a pull out couch to sleep on. The food thing is unfortunate, but they are only funded to feed the patient. Sorry your experience was bad. Hope Its much better this time. And good luck for the little miss's surgery
We were there about 4 months ago. Still only toast and tea for parents to eat. If you are on the High Dependency Unit then only a chair to sleep in, but if you are on the regular paediatric ward there are rooms and they often have an extra parent bed. Everyone was fine when we were there.
