HI there - my Ob recommended using Almond Oil, apparently Bio Oil has relatively high level of vitamin A in it that he said wasn't actually ideal for pregnant women - my friends OB said Bio Oil should be marketed for after birth use.
So he said go to the chemist ask for a big container of Almond Oil - costs about $7. I'm 28 weeks and have used two containers so far - and I am VERY generous with it - I stick it on everything legs, boobs, arms etc.. So its super cheap and smells like almonds, not too bad.
I have been using bio oil from the day I found out. The website has some convincing stats and studies. But will prob use almond oil or the butter stuff when I actually start to grow.
I used bio-oil and palmers cocoa butter from halfway through. No stretchmarks at all (and I was pretty big! gained 16kgs). But I think thats genetic, my mum and sis don't have any either.
I think any moisturiser will help, especially with vit E. But they can only help so much, if you're gonna get them, you're gonna get them. May as well at least try to minimise them tho eh!?!
