Topic: baby girls with lots hair..what to do?? Posted: 16 January 2010 at 4:43pm |
I got Karmas fringe cut the other day much to my sisters disgust! (she cut it begrudgingly! shes a hairdresser)....
my reasoning was that her fringe was past her nose!!!....everyone thinks its a bit weird bcos most of the back of her hair is still growing in so short of course!!!
anyone else had this prob with their baby girls hair?? were you able to tie it up or anything???
heres some photos of her cut and some lame attempts at tying it up!!

Awww she's a wee cutie
my sister's kid (10mths) always has her hair in a top-knot (think pebbles) or in two ponytails, but high and forward (think shrek)

My SIL has put clips in my niece's hair to bring the fringe round to the side, does that make sense?

My sons hair has just grown past his eyes in the front. I really need to get it cut lol, I just don't trust hairdressers!
It is quite long in the back too.
When my sister was 2 the hairdresser gave her a mullet. I haven't trusted them since then.

Aw so adorable! Why didn't your sister want to cut it though? If it had to be done, then it had to be done surely?

She's gorgeous. I agree with the hair clips, just side sweep the fringe and clip to the side.

Awwwwww shes so cute. Caprece is way older but her fringe is a lot longer than the back too. Her hair is a bit curlier than Karma's though. I have a spray bottle with mainly water and a wee bit of conditioner that I spray in to comb through the back to get rid of the mess and I clip her fringe back. There are some gorgeous wee clips for quite reasonable prices at some of those asian shops. I don't really want Caprece to have a fringe so I really wanted it to grow with her hair and its almost long enough to fit in a pony tail.

Awwww Karma looks totally gorgeous with a fringe!
We are trying to grow out the girls fringes at the mo. I just use tiny hair clips to keep it to the side.

i cant keep clips in edens hair, she pulls them out all the time. hers if long at the back as well tho. I keep thinking i will grow it out but it gets to the point where she cant see and she fights me putting it up so i cut the fringe myself. I have had to do it three times so far. i havent touched the back tho. But when its long enough we do the top know too and occasionally two on each side of her head.

Nothing really to add but awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww so cute.
DS has always had a lot of hair, but I just got it cut short - not sure I would want to do that with a girl though.

Hmmm i have often wondered this myself.
DDs fringe is past her nose. I haven't cut it yet as i want it to grow out.
I normally clip it to the side or tie it up. Although she now pulls the clips out
I was to scared at what its going look like, but my dds here is just like your little girls, and it looks really cute cut
you can see my dds hair in my signature

Lilia is the same with a really long fringe, but I want to grow it out too as she has curls and I know it will look funny short. We clip her hair to the side and *most* of the time it stays in.
Karma is such a cutie!

We used to do "pebbles" ponytails in Chloe's hair, and I would clip back the annoying stray bits with adult-sized hair clips.
She went through a short phase of unclipping it, but then would get frustrated with all her hair in her face, so now she likes me clipping it back when it's messy.
I have a thing about fringes since I was forced to have a terrible one when I was little, so I never wanted Chloe to have one, LOL! But there was an in-between stage where even *I* was so tempted to give her a fringe.
