    Posted: 11 March 2014 at 9:03pm
So, I just found out 2 days ago that Im pregnant, 5 weeks. I have absolutely no symptoms (with my other pregnancies I had super sore boobs, nausea etc by now) The only thing out of the ordinary is a pretty constant dull ache on my lower left side.

I went to the Doctor yesterday, she was worried it may be ectopic so sent me for a scan today.

Im no wiser, they said they couldnt see anything in my uterus but that perhaps its too early to see anything. There is something questionable about my left ovary where the the pain is but too small to tell.

I have to wait until Thursday for second hcgs and just hope. (and try to stop working myself into a "OMG I might have an ectopic that bursts and kills me" frenzy)

Any experiences welcome, I wondered if no symptoms and a constant pain on one sided sounded ectopic.

Im not holding out much hope so no one needs to sugar coat anything for me

Huge thanks xx

Oh PB I'm so sorry you have to experience this again. I cant give you any advice re the ectopic pregnancy, the last two pregnancies I have had have been blighted ovum's. That is where the sack continues to grow but no baby inside. Hopefully it might just be that you are a earlier on than you think? I'm sure they will keep a close eye on you and can tell you something later in the week. You take care of yourself x

I'm so sorry to hear PB that you have to go through this. I wanted to say that they can't always see anything at 5 weeks even if it's a normal healthy pregnancy. Although it is concerning that they think there is something on your ovary. I guess the only way to know is to wait and to have another scan done. And either baby will have continued developing and will become visible or not. Did they do a vaginal scan?

At 4w6d days they might just not be able to see anything. I guess you will have to wait and see what the next scan shows (I assume they will be looking again??). Good luck

My sister had an ectopic pregnancy last year.
She already had a child, at that time he was 1 year old.
She was given a caesarean section because in her youth she very badly damaged the coccyx.
And if she gave birth naturally, her leg functions could be disturbed.
The doctor warned her that after a cesarean section she might have an ectopic pregnancy.
She had back pain in this period.
But, she thought that this reminds of herself a trauma to the coccyx.
She was so worried that she quickly went to the doctor, she was in a hurry that almost broke her leg.
But, after the examination, it became clear that she had an ectopic pregnancy.
She urgently needed an operation.
She very long and heavily departed from anesthesia.
And now, after almost a year she again has gynecological problems.
Again anesthesia and again a heavy recovery.
Therefore, ectopic pregnancy is, of course, a great stress for the psyche, fear and soreness.
But, my sister is a pretty strong girl.
But in my opinion, morally, she suffered these events normally, but she is still quite young, in September she will be 29 years old.

I have no personal experiences, but from what I have read a woman might experience ectopic pregnancy cos of aneuploidies. If genetics is the issue, a doc might recommend undergoing IVF PGS NGS
Me 38, DH 42
#1IVF - BNF, no implantation
#2IVF - BNF, mc
changed clinics, 1st appointment Gdansk - June 2018
#3IVF - Gdansk Poland, Dec 2018
