I have been using OPKs for the last week and every time I test it is negative. Am I doing something wrong as this is the 1st month of using them and I have been using them around the same time each day.

Or maybe I'm not ovulating at all, I havent had any CM so far this month and I would normally of had some IYKWIM. Maybe my cycle is becoming messed up.

Do any of you wise ladies have any ideas

Leelee it could be a combo of things. You may not have ov yet- what day of your cycle are you up to? I don't ov till Day 17-19 although day 21 sin't unheard of for me either lol. Also Sometimes you only have a short LH surge so testing twice a day if you can might mean you don't miss it. I would normally only do that though if I thought my CM was begining to look a bit fertile IYKWIM.

Its possible that you're not ov this cycle, I'm not sure why that would be but I think that's prety common too?

With your CM- are you just checking on the loo paper or are you actually having a bit of a sweep up 'there'? (sorry if TMI). Sometimes I think some women don't produce loads of CM and I for one some cycles have to check a little more um indepth to find it lol. Sorry TMI but hey we're all in the same boat.

There are lots of women on these boards waaay more experienced than I am with OPKs but they certainly seem to work really well and really clearly for me so hope they do for you too. Good luck

Leelee, I've never been one to have much luck with OPKs, they're a little hit and miss for me, some months I got a lovely clear positive, others nada - and I chart too so know that I've been OVing every month. However, it's also not that uncommon to have the odd annovulatory cycle when your body doesn't release an egg... just keep up with the BDing every couple of days (if you can!) that should cover it just fine.

I agree with Angie- BDng every 2 days is great stuff for ttc.  I just feel very lucky that OPKs work for me cos I don't think DP or myself would have the stamina to BD every second night lol. OPK's cut it right down for us haha that sounds terrible but you know what I mean
