Topic: AF/ Cramps Question Posted: 19 August 2008 at 4:19pm |
Just wondering, Ive been having cramps for the past 3 or so days, it feels like I have AF at times.
My PP bleeding stopped fully round 2 weeks ago and Caden is now 8 weeks old.
Did anyone else have random cramping and then got AF soon after or just have random cramping and no AF?

Oh my gosh, so funny you wrote this cos I've just been having that. Really bad cramping, sore back and nauseous (even vomited a couple of times) and just feeling real 'fuzzy' and tired. I haven't had an AF since the boy was born, and am not bleeding at the mo - I used to get AF pain like this before I went on the pill when I was a teenager (I went on it cos the pain was debilitating) but didn't have it again when I went off the pill to try to conceive. Don't know if it's weird AF stuff or a tummy bug but I hope it goes away soon
Sorry for the threadjack Sheena but just wanted to say yeah am having random cramping and no AF! I'm interested in the answers too.
By the way oh my gosh I LOVE that new pic of Caden in your ticker. He is so gorgeous.

I had random cramping before and after my one and only AF since Chloe... I asked my midwife about it and she said it takes months and months for your uterus to shrink back down to pre-pregnancy size, and that the cramping helps with that. Also AF can be a bit weird and sometimes severe for a few cycles post-partum.

I got a few post-baby (each time) and generally it settled into a pattern and one month on I had AF back.

I don't get cramps or anything, but since getting AF back when I gave up b/f Lauren at 7 months, my AF's are terrible! They are very very heavy and I have had my current one for 10 days
This is only my 3rd AF since having Lauren so I guess my body is still settling itself back down?
I am used to a 2-3 day AF, what on earth is this 10 days plus all about Not impressed!!

Argh peachy (and everyone else) - that sucks big time.
I had bad cramps with my uterus shrinking (not the afterpains) when Jack was about 8-9ish weeks old, got AF a few days later and then not another one for 102 (yes, I'm charting lol I'm not just a weird numbers person) days. My bleed from memory wasn't actually that bad, the one now is though
