BFing mums...When did you get your first proper AF after baby while BFING??
Did anything register on OPK?
Iv been BFing 8 months and still havnt had AF...not that im complaining but just always feel like its coming and have had wicked Ov cramping and (TMI) lots of EWCM here and there but even an OPK is WHITE AS even though i usually have a faint line my whole cycle...
BTW im on the mini pill, not sure if that effects OPK result or not...
TIA ladies

I got my first AF at 10 months, totally out of the blue, no warnings whatsoever. It was really really light though. I got the second one at 12months which was much more substantial and I felt ov pains etc before it arrived.
I started on the mini pill at 10months

I got AF back at 11 months, but wasn't on any contraception. Sometimes it takes a while for the booby monster mums!

I got AF back at 3mth, 4mth and 3mth respectively all while BFing exclusively . I've never used OPKs but judging from other things (CM and increase in, ahh, libido ) I was ovulating from the start.

still haven't got AF back yet and T is 13 months.
With #1 I got it back around 11 mths but I was on the pill and always wondered if that somehow mucked up my body so this time around decided to stay off it and see what happened.

I got it back at 11 months, I was on minipill. The hint it was coming was that DD starting fussing at the breast a bit, like she didn't like the taste, about when I must have been ovulating. I had plenty of CM etc before then too but it never resulted in AF.

I got mine back about 22 months, about 6 weeks after I fully weaned. It is completely normal to get EWCM whilst BFing. It doesn't mean you are ovulating, your body sort of goes through cycles, sort of practising for when your period and ovulation returns again.
If you want to know for sure, I would recommend you chart your temperature.

When Jacob was six months, with no warning at all - in fact we were on holiday and I hadn't thought to pack a thing (having not needed them for so long!). I was still fully BF, but Jacob had started solids and wasn't having a drink at night.

Lily has gone through lots of moments of fussing and I've had the EWCM cramps and everything but each month - nothing! I'm on depo so that's probably why for me personally! I actually like having AF lol

Jacob only started fussing while he was feeding when I was actually pregnant - not that I actually knew that the time

I got mine back when DS was 9 months. I wasn't expecting to get it until I weaned as DS still drinks at night. CM was a giveway, along with ov pain. Not on any contraceptives here.

I got mine back at 3 months with Hannah - as soon as I went on the mini pill. It made me spot something chronic and made Hannah fuss at the breast.
As soon as I came off it (3 months later) Hannah was back to full force feeding and I didn't get AF for about 6 months after that (when Hannah had fully weaned).
*eta: This time around I'm not on any oral contraceptive and haven't had so much as a spot in almost 10 months but I get a bit of discharge every month or so. So I wonder if my body is trying to ovulate? Who knows!

With DS1 AF came back about 2 weeks after he started sleeping through, we were still mostly BF although he was having the odd bottle during the day.
With DS2, still nothing but he is having a dream feed plus 4 BF during the day. I thought AF might come back last month as we had stopped night feeds altogether and also started solids but nothing doing. I'm not bothered, I HATE AF and I'm enjoying the break We're not using any contraception yet either
